The Transport Minister said that this was one of the targets for 2017, adding that the first phase of his ministry’s logistics enhancement project had been completed.
“We have done well in 2016 and have achieved more than 85% of the target to enhance our logistics.
“Now, we are going into the second phase to continue to strengthen our infrastructure and upgrade the regulations so that we can complete in the global arena,” he said after launching the Selangor Online trading platform on WeChat at a New Year carnival here on Sunday.

Selangor Online is an initiative of the Federation of Malaysia Chinese Guilds Association.
Liow said currently, it takes about two days for goods purchased online to be delivered to consumers. However, in China, it only takes three to six hours for goods to reach consumers.

“We will try to improve this and reduce the delivery time to a day,” he said.
